KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Amateur Athletic Union (MAAU) received a huge boost yesterday for their track and field development programmes with a long-term commitment from sponsors Octagon Asia to pump in a total of RM5 million over the next 10 years.
The MAAU president, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, said that the sponsorship would go a long way to help them in their efforts to produce and manage competitive world-class athletes.
