RIO DE JANEIRO: Cruzeiro sacked coach Dorival Junior on Monday, one day after qualifying for a place in next year’s South American Libertadores Cup.
Dorival, whose team finished fifth in the Brazilian Championship after beating America-Natal 2-0 on Sunday in their last game, became the first coach to lose his job in the wake of the competition.
