PETALING JAYA: With no background in martial arts training, Ding Siew Bee had no idea where she was heading when she attended basic kickboxing classes two years ago.
But come December, the 25-year-old is set to become to first Malaysian woman to compete in sanshou (freestyle Chinese boxing) competition of the wushu programme in the SEA Games in Thailand. Siew Bee will compete in the women's below 48kg division.
