LONDON: Former League Cup winner Peter Mendham was jailed on Wednesday for 7½ years after being found guilty of stabbing his ex-girlfriend.
The 46-year-old former midfielder – who was part of the Norwich side that beat Sunderland in the 1985 League Cup final and won the 1986 Second Division championship – was found guilty of wounding with intent.
