PETALING JAYA: Asian Games aspirants Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari-Lin Woon Fui stormed into the men’s doubles semi-finals of the Invitational World Cup in Yi Yang, China, in convincing fashion yesterday.
The back-up players, who will soon be announced as the replacements for veterans Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah in the squad for the Asiad in December, blew away China’s Xia Xuanze-Xu Chen 21-19, 21-14.
