MK Land's hotshot Marlon Alex James will be issued with a show cause letter for his unprofessional conduct during the FA Cup tie against Selangor.
The Premier League's top scorer with 23 goals decided to walk out of play without permission in the return-leg match played at the MPPJ Stadium on Wednesday.
Assistant coach Michael Palani said the player showed no respect for team officials when he stormed off the pitch with a thigh muscle strain in the 25th minute.
He said James threw his skipper’s armband and marched straight to the changing room.
“This was an important game and as the captain he should have been more professional,” said Michael.
MK Land went into the match with a two-goal deficit when they lost 1-3 in the first-leg. They lost the return-leg 1-2.
