Hearts apologise over broken minute’s silence for the Pope

GLASGOW: Hearts have apologised for the behaviour of their fans during a minute’s silence held in tribute to Pope John Paul II before the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic on Sunday.

A large section of the Edinburgh side’s support booed and jeered throughout the tribute forcing referee Stuart Dougal to blow his whistle after only 20 seconds.
