MADRID: Atletico Madrid have sparked controversy by adopting a shirt which boasts a giant advertisement for the Spiderman 2 movie on their front.
Atletico intend to wear the navy-blue shirt, which is dominated by the film’s logo – a spider and web together with the title – for their away Intertoto Cup matches this summer. The jersey’s only recognisable Atletico emblem is the small club badge in the top left hand corner.
