KUALA LUMPUR: Pahang's Tan Song Hwa stole the limelight on the third and final day of the National Junior Athletics Championship by breaking the 24-year-old junior record in the girls' hammer event at the National Sports Council (NSC) training track in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
The Form Four student at Bukit Jalil Sports School hurled to a new distance of 42.50m in her fifth attempt to erase the old mark of 38.52m set by Roseazlina Mustafa in 1979.
