LONDON: Portsmouth restored their five-point lead at the top of the English First Division with a 4-0 win at Coventry on Wednesday while Nottingham Forest strengthened their grip on a playoff place with a 3-0 home win over Derby County.
Portsmouth have 82 points with Leicester, who won 2-1 at Burnley on Tuesday, second on 77. Sheffield United are third on 65, Reading fourth on 64 with Forest in fifth on 62. Wolves fill the final play-off spot on 60 points.
