BASEL: Deportivo La Coruna slumped to the bottom of their group in the Champions League on Wednesday, after FC Basel resumed their giant-killing exploits by beating the Spanish champions 1-0.
Deportivo never recovered after the first half goal by Hakan Yakin, and appeared to be stifled by a combination of a commanding performance by the Basel midfielder and the freezing Swiss weather.
