IPOH: Anderson XYbase are gunning for full points in their two straight home matches in the Junior Hockey League at the Azlan Shah Stadium here this weekend.

The Ipoh-based school will take on Srii Aroma-PISC tomorrow and then play Johor Sports Council on Sunday.

Coming off a 2-1 win over MPPJ in their second match after an opening 0-1 defeat to Olak-MPK, Anderson are well aware that they have to be at their very best against both teams.

“We have to take advantage of the home crowd to win both these matches. Both these teams are also gunning for points,” Anderson coach Mokhtar Baharuddin Abdullah said.

“It will not be easy as these two teams will also be gunning for the points. So, we have to play much better than our opponents.

Mokhtar said the fitness of some of his players was not up to mark and they needed to work on their fitness to improve their game.

Anderson will also be banking again on goalkeeper Noorazlan Daud for another commanding performance between the posts to frustrate the opponents.
