SEPANG: Reigning MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez underlined his intent to go for a record eighth premier class title by topping the opening day of the official MotoGP test at Sepang International Circuit.

Exactly 121 days on after suffering a serious shoulder injury in October at the Indonesian Grand Prix, Marquez set a scorching pace in the afternoon to top the timesheets with 1:57.018s.
