Almost a skid for Akid, as Indonesian rivals close in


BURIRAM: Mohd Akid Aziz (pic) was relieved to avoid a crash in Race 1 of Round 6 in the Asia Road Racing Championships and stay in contention to finish as overall champion in the Underbone 150cc category.

In the last lap, Akid, who represents Pits Bike One Way JRT Tech2 Racing Team, nearly crashed but luckily managed to stay on his bike and finish the race in fourth spot with a time of 16:28.708s at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand, yesterday.
