Hannah driven to make safety first in motorsports

PETALING JAYA: Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh has urged the organisers of motorsports events to make safety their priority and secure the approval of the Sports Commissioner and the Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM).

Hannah said the requirement is in line with Section 36 of the Sports Development Act 1997 (Act 576), which stipulates that companies must apply to the sports commissioner’s office for a licence to operate within 30 days for local events and 90 days for international events.
