Triple thrill in Moto2 as uper KIP, Kasma and Azroy get wild cards

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian motorsport fans will get to witness three countrymen racing alongside the world’s top racers at the Malaysian GP from Oct 21-23 at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC).

The trio are Khairul Idham Pawi or better known as Super KIP, Kasma Daniel Kasmayuddin and Azroy Hakeem Anuar. They were given wild cards to compete in the Moto2 class, according to PETRONAS, the main sponsor of the Malaysian GP.

“The race will highlight riders Azroy, Kasma and Khairul in the Moto2 world championships,” said a post on the sponsor’s Facebook page.

However, PETRONAS did not reveal the name of the team that the three national riders, who are also competing in the Asian Road Racing Championship (ARRC), will represent.

Khairul had previously competed in the Moto3 and Moto2 classes at the Malaysian GP, ​​the last time being in the 2018 season, while Kasma was given a wild card in the Moto3 category in the 2017 season.

The other local rider in the Malaysian GP is Syarifuddin Azman, better known as Damok, who got a wild card in Moto3 in August. — Bernama
