Amanraj stars as Malaysia seal their 18th SEA Games hockey gold

CHONBURI:  Debutant Amanraj Singh starred as Malaysia thrashed Thailand 8-0 to flick the gold medal in the field hockey at the SEA Games on Friday (Dec 19). 

The 20-year-old Amanraj stepped up to score a hattrick in the  55th, 57th, and 60th minutes at the National Sports University in Chonburi.

The others goals came from Muhajir Abdu Rauf in the 15th minute, followed by Faiz Jali (27th), Aiman Rozemi (28th), Fitri Saari (42nd), and Alfarico Liau (50th). 

Malaysia have now added their 18th gold medal to their SEA Games field hockey collection, winning every edition except the 1973 edition in Singapore, where they came in second.
