KUALA LUMPUR: Liam Holdermann was in seventh heaven as he scored the winning goal for Germany in the Junior World Cup on Saturday just two weeks after the striker was in danger of missing the tournament due to a heart issue.

Germany had cancelled an early lead from a Jule Verrier goal (17th minute) by equalising through Jan Cordes (32nd) and Holdermann turned a tough night for his side by scoring in the 40th minute to give his team a jaw-dropping seventh title at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
