FIVE of Malaysia’s leading women’s players will feature in the Maybank Championship, which begins on Oct 29, with rising star Mirabel Ting likely to carry the nation’s best hopes of making an impact against a field loaded with world-class LPGA Tour stars.

Mirabel enters the US$3mil event as the highest ranked Malaysian at No. 239 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. That is largely the result of a breakthrough season on the Epson Tour, where she has won twice and secured LPGA Tour status for next year.
