FRZ wedge debuts as Fourteen extends spin tradition

The wedge has been engineered to enhance shot making versatility while keeping spin consistent across the face.

FOURTEEN Golf has launched the FRZ wedge, the latest product developed under the brand’s FR Project – the same research programme responsible for its tour proven Ugroove legacy.

The FRZ centres on laser-milled treatment between the score lines, a face-engineering approach designed to increase friction at impact and maintain spin in wet, rough or sandy conditions, where performance typically drops off.

The wedge pairs a milled taper-blade construction with a heel biased centre of gravity, a combination engineered to enhance shotmaking versatility while keeping spin consistent across the face.

Golfers can choose between two finishes – FRZ Chrome and FRZ Black – each built on a True Temper DGS200 ST shaft as standard.

Three sole grinds are available: S grind – a standard, versatile option, H grind – heel optimised with higher bounce for steeper attack angles, and T grind – a twin sole, tour preferred profile for players who manipulate face angle.

The wedge is available in lofts ranging from 46° to 60°, offering coverage from pitching wedge through to highloft scoring options.

The Japanese manufacturer has built a 22-year reputation for spin wedge innovation, beginning with the MT28, a Ugroove wedge.

The FRZ continues that lineage, pushing face-milling and spin technology to the limits of today’s equipment rules.

The Fourteen FRZ wedge is now locally available and online with a retail price of RM1,010.
