LAB Golf launches four new putters

FOUNDED with the mission to make putting easier and more enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels, LAB Golf has developed innovative technology that they say is transforming the way golfers approach the green.

“We believe that every golfer has the potential to be a great putter,” said LAB Golf chief executive officer Sam Hahn.

“And our mission is to provide golfers with the tools they need to unlock that potential and enjoy the game to its fullest.

At the heart of the company’s innovation is patented technology that Hahn said eliminates torque, allowing golfers to maintain a square putter face throughout their stroke.

The four new models of putters, now available in Malaysia, are the Mezz1, DF2.1, DF3 and Link1.

“The Mezz1 is a mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminium (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling putter to date,” said Hahn.

“It includes 10 weights – eight at the bottom and two on the sides – that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

“The firm’s founder, Bill Presse, invented Lie Angle Balance (LAB) and developed the radical shape of the DF2.1 to maximise consistency on off-centre hits.

“The DF2.1 gives a golfer the ability to consistently repeat the putting stroke with far less effort than with other putters. And it does this by eliminating torque,” said Hahn. “The DF3 is smaller and sleeker than the other putters, but still honours the shape of the putter that started it all for us.

“The DF3, through a few important design tweaks, allows for putts hit on the heel and toe to roll a lot like those hit off the centre.”

The Link1 honours the most popular putter shape of all time but stays square by itself, Hahn added.

“So many golfers love the look of blade putters, but they’re not always the best for making putts.

“What we did with Link1 was honour the shape of these legendary putters and then make them dramatically easier to use by adding lie, angle and balance. It is designed to stay square to your path during the stroke.”

The Link1 was engineered from 303 stainless steel, with the putter head crafted from 100% CNC milled in the United States. There are four screws on the heel side and six on the toe side to offer a wide range of length and lie angle options, said Hahn.

The suggested retail prices are Mezz1 RM3,450, DF2.1 RM3,050, DF3 RM3,450 and Link1 RM3,590.
