New clubs designed for max speed

CALLAWAY Golf Malaysia have confirmed the arrival of the Epic Max Fast series that comprises a driver, fairway wood, utility and a set of irons.

The utility club and irons are making their debut alongside the newly developed driver, fairway wood – based on the Epic Max series. In each case, the theme is weight reduction.

With this, Callaway say, even beginners and golfers who are not confident in their strength can fully exploit the potential of the latest technologies such as the Jailbreak AI speed frame.

“The new Epic Max Fast series, designed for a wide range of players, is a powerful line-up made possible only by Callaway,” the company added.

“The Epic Max Fast driver is a lighter model and based on the head of the Epic Max, which has a draw bias that makes it easy to catch and lift the ball. It uses the Flash face SS21 designed by Jailbreak AI speed frame technology, and has a head weight of about 185g. It comes with a non-adjustable adhesive hosel and a lightweight shaft and grip.”

The fairway wood is a lighter model based on the Epic Max and has screw weights in the front and back of the sole. The shaft and grip are also lightweight, and the club weighs about 283g.

“This fairway wood has the characteristics of a high moment of inertia, a low centre of gravity and draw bias.”

The Epic Max Fast fairway wood has a square leading edge design and features a #3, #5 and #7.

The Epic Max Fast utility uses the same latest technology as the Apex Utility but with a head newly developed to be lightweight.

“The head shape is a fairway wood type with a flat crown and rounded, and with the addition of a full scorelined face, it can be held just like a wood.”

The Epic Max Fast Utility line-up comes in a range of U3, U4 and U5.

“The Epic Max Fast irons combine good flight distance and gentleness with ease of swinging due to the weight reduction. The head size is large with a hollow structure and the face has been crafted for high ball speeds.

The irons are equipped with a Flash face cup design by AI and exclusive to the Epic Max Fast that pursues an optimum design for each iron number. The initial velocity of the ball is greatly improved throughout the irons.

The Epic Max Fast irons set consist of 6-9, PW and AW.
