Tran wins first ADT golf title after playoff


PETALING JAYA: Michael Tran of Vietnam sensationally won his maiden Asian Development Tour (ADT) golf title after defeating overnight co-leader Lam Chih Bing of Singapore on the first playoff hole at the Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament.

Tran, who was a shot off the pace heading into the final round, signed for a closing four-under 68 after sinking a 15-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to force a playoff. Chih Bing bogeyed the hole for a 69.
