Soccer-Ligue 1 clash briefly halted after Lyon fans unveil offensive banner

LYON, ⁠France, Sept ⁠19 (Reuters) - Saturday's Ligue ‌1 clash between hosts Olympique Lyonnais ​and Stade ⁠Rennais was ⁠disrupted after Lyon ⁠fans ‌displayed an ⁠offensive banner directed at ​their ‌rivals St ⁠Etienne.

Lyon ​were leading 2-0 through ⁠two goals from ​Ernest Nuamah when the banner ⁠was unveiled, prompting officials to suspend the ​match ⁠briefly before ​play resumed.
