FAM thank fans for support for Harimau Malaya

KUALA LUMPUR: The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) expressed their deepest appreciation to Harimau Malaya fans who flooded Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium, Cheras to give their strong support to the national squad in the Asean Cup match against Laos on Tuesday night (July 28). 

According to FAM, the presence of thousands of fans who filled the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium, Cheras and gave non-stop cheers throughout the match was a morale booster and fuel for the players to perform their best for the country.

Harimau Malaya defeated Laos 4-0 to move as top team of Group B with six points.

"FAM appreciate the commitment of all the supporters who always stand firmly behind Harimau Malaya

"The extraordinary support from the fans has always been the main strength for the national squad in every match,” the statement said.

In the same vein, FAM hoped that the strong support would continue in the next match against the Philippines at the same venue on Aug 8.

"Let us all come together to fill the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium again to give Harimau Malaya a boost in their efforts to continue their challenge in the Asean Cup.
