The 24-year-old will be entrusted to anchor and fortify the Deer’s defence as a centreback, while also offering the tactical versatility to operate as either a rightback or leftback.

Ryaan previously plied his trade in the Singapore Premier League with Hougang United, where he also served as team captain.

His composure and quality at the back have not gone unnoticed on the international stage either, with the defender earning three caps with Singapore.

“I’m very happy to be here. It’s a big club with a huge history, and I can’t wait to start with the new team,” said Ryaan.

“We will bring out our best and bring success to the team.”

The move marks Ryaan’s first taste of playing overseas, and it could be a calculated one, with an eye on securing regular international football and potentially a place in Singapore’s squad for the 2027 Asian Cup.

His wealth of experience and natural leadership will undoubtedly prove a vital asset for the Deer as they take on the challenges of the new season.
