PETALING JAYA: Midfielder Nazmi Faiz Mansor is attracting interest after announcing that he will be leaving Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) on loan.
The 31-year-old playmaker is eager to secure more playing time in a bid to reclaim a regular spot in the Harimau Malaya squad.
He has been linked with a move to Kuching City, who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their continental campaigns in the AFC Champions League Two and the Shopee Cup Asean Club Championship.
Star City, formerly known as Immigration, are also interested in signing him, with coach Mehmet Durakovic keen on a reunion after working with Nazmi during Selangor's Malaysia Cup-winning campaign in 2015.
Nazmi thanked JDT for the opportunity and the memories during his nine-and-a-half-year stay with the club.
"It's hard to put nine years and six months into words. Johor has become more than just a place to play football. It became my second home," he wrote on social media.
"Over these years I gave everything I had, every single day. I always tried to give my best, no matter the situation.
"Through every challenge, every setback and every success, I never backed down because wearing the JDT badge was always an honour.
"To everyone, thank you for being part of this journey, for the unforgettable memories, the friendships and the lessons that will stay with me for life.
"This chapter may be coming to an end, but the memories and love I have for JDT will stay with me forever."
Nazmi joined the Southern Tigers in 2017 and went on to make more than 160 appearances in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and providing 15 assists.
The 22-cap Malaysian international leaves JDT with an impressive trophy haul that includes eight Super League titles, five Malaysia Cups and four FA Cups.
Nazmi first rose to prominence in 2013 when, at the age of 18, he joined Portuguese club Beira-Mar. His stint there was brief before he returned home later that year to join PKNS. He then moved to Selangor in 2014, spending two seasons with the Red Giants before signing for JDT in 2017.
