PETALING JAYA: Buriram United hold the advantage against Selangor, after beating them 1-0 in the Asean Club Championship Shopee Cup first-leg final at the Petaling Jaya Stadium on Wednesday (May 20).

Thai star winger Suphanat Muenta was the hero when he scored in the 25th minute for the defending champions from Thailand, finishing off an assist from midfielder Teerathon Bunmathan.

Selangor had the most possession in the game, controlling 57% of the game, but could only create six chances – something that needs to be remedied by Kim Pan-gon and co in the second leg.

The second leg will be at the Chang Arena in Buriram on May 27.
