Moraes scores a brace as Selangor move up to second spot

PETALING JAYA: Selangor have moved up second in the Super League rankings after beating Immigration 4-0 at the Petaling Jaya Stadium on Sunday (March 8).

Selangor first took the lead in the 27th minute when Brazilian striker Chrigor Moraes headed a cross from captain and winger Faisal Halim.

The second was also a header when Cape Verdean winger Alvin Fortes’ cross was finished off by wingback Ahmad Zikri Khalili in the 45th minute.

Moraes got his second of the night in the 78th minute when he finished off a swift movement from Fortes.

In injury time, Brazilian midfielder Victor Pernambuco added the fourth goal after finishing off a pass from Faisal. 

Selangor now have 39 points from 19 games, just ahead of Kuala Lumpur by goal difference, while Immogration are ninth with 18 points from 18 matches.
