PETALING JAYA: Selangor have appointed Kim Pan-gon as the new head coach of the Red Giants’ first team, effective Monday (Jan 5).

The 56-year-old Pan-gon was in Malaysia before as the popular Harimau Malaya head coach from 2022-2024 before he decided to leave.

The club also confirmed that former interim head coach Christophe Gamel has been named Selangor’s new technical director, with a mandate focused on youth and coaching development from the Under-23 level down to the grassroots.

Selangor expressed confidence that Pan-gon’s vast experience and proven track record will help guide the Red Giants to greater heights, while Gamel’s appointment is aimed at strengthening the club’s long-term development pathway.
