Football: Coach Elavarasan has left Kelantan

PETALING JAYA: It looks like there could be a coaching change in the Kelantan football team.

It is learnt that coach E. Elavarasan has been rested and he could be replaced by former Malaysian international Akmal Rizal Rakhli.

According to a source close to the club, Elavarasan was told to leave the club after the Super League game against Terengganu on Oct 3, where they lost 1-4.

He took over Kelantan in June and was tasked with improving the fortunes of the team, which finished last in the league last season.

The Real Warriors are currently seventh in the league with eight points after seven matches.
