KUALA LUMPUR: Tensions flared ahead of the prestigious Malaysia Cup final on Saturday (April 26), as a fracas broke out outside the Axiata Arena involving Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Pahang fans.

The altercation, which took place just hours before the highly anticipated clash at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, reportedly began when a group of JDT supporters were provoked by a small faction of Pahang fans.

The confrontation quickly escalated into chaos, with punches and kicks thrown, traffic cones hurled, and flares ignited.

Despite the presence of barricades, the physical altercations could not be contained initially.

Police and Rela personnel were eventually forced to intervene, stepping in to disperse the crowd and restore order.
