JDT-Pahang Malaysia Cup final to be played on April 26 to accommodate Hari Raya celebrations, says MFL

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysia Cup final between Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Pahang will be played on April 26 at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

The Malaysian Football League (MFL) announced the change from the initial date of April 12 after reconsidering the joint application from Pahang and joint agreement with JDT.

According to both teams, fans had been hoping that the date of the final would be moved to a later date to allow them to plan their trips to the National Stadium, as the earlier set date was close to Hari Raya.

MFL hopes the new date April 26 will allow both teams to ensure the ticket sales are managed well and seats are filled for the final.
