KUALA LUMPUR: Southern giants Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) have introduced two more new signings from Spain, Jonathan Viera and Roque Mesa, to strengthen their squad for the AFC Champions League Elite (ACLE).
Viera, 35, brings a wealth of experience as a forward, having played for several La Liga clubs, including Las Palmas, Valencia, and Rayo Vallecano. Prior to joining JDT, he also had a stint in the UAE Pro League with Khor Fakkan.
Mesa, a versatile defender, boasts extensive experience in both La Liga and the English Premier League.
Earlier, JDT had announced the arrival of another defender, Alvaro Gonzalez.
JDT will continue their AFC Champions League Elite (ACLE) Group A campaign against Australian club Central Coast Mariners in New South Wales on February 11.
Currently, the Southern Tigers sit in sixth place with eight points from six matches, while Central Coast Mariners are in 12th and bottom of the group with just one point.
