PETALING JAYA: Johor Darul Ta'zim's (JDT) Heberty Fernandes made it his show at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

The 35-year-old scored a hattrick to help his side beat Pahang 3-0 in the Super League on Saturday (June 22).

The Brazilian got the first goal for the home side when he beat two defenders before unleashing a left-footed from outside the box in the fifth minute.

His second came in the 67th minute when he finished off a cutback from substitute midfielder Endrick dos Santos.

And 10 minutes later, he was on fire again when he took advantage of a loose pass from Pahang goalkeeper Zarif Irfan Hashimuddin and finished it in poacher’s style to complete a glorious night for him and JDT.

Coach Hector Bidoglio was delighted with Fernandes and Co's performance.

"We have a team with good strikers. I'm truly happy with Heberty because he had been working hard during training and he deserved a spot in the first eleven," said the Venezuelan.

"But the team is doing well because we have great players. The result we have today is because of the team."

As for the game, Bidoglio said the team bounced back in the second half after a whimpering show in the first.

"We didn't attack the space as much in the first half as in the second. We could have scored more. We had a lot of chances."

Meanwhile, Pahang coach Fandi Ahmad said his opponents were too strong.

"JDT took their chances. My boys gave their all, but our opponents were too strong. Even with the chances we created, their defence were resilient," said the Singaporean.

"We didn't mark Heberty enough.

"But I am not disappointed because I know every single one on the field worked hard."
