PETALING JAYA: Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh revealed that national winger Faisal Halim is in good hands after visiting him at a hospital in Shah Alam on Wednesday evening (May 8).

She accompanied Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail to check on the wellbeing of the player fondly known as Mickey and even revealed that he communicated with them through the glass window.

"I managed to visit Faisal together with our Home Minister. We got a thorough briefing from his surgeon. He is in good hands.

"Faisal communicated with us through the glass window. I showed him the heart shape with my hands, the Home Minister showed him praying hands and Faisal nodded.

"I am comforted seeing his response, he is in good spirits and we now pray he will respond well to the planned treatment, with no complications and smooth recovery."

Faisal suffered an acid attack in Damansara last Sunday (May 5), which has gripped the nation as many are in disbelief that a footballer could suffer such a fate in Malaysia.
