Football: Northern and Borneo derby in the Malaysia Cup Round of 16

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysia Cup Round of 16 draw is out and there are some enticing affairs to watch out for in the oldest cup in Southeast Asia.

The one to watch is the Northern derby where Perak will take on Kedah in the two-legged tie. There will also be a Borneo derby when Sabah takes on Kuching City in the Round of 16.

Defending champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) will take on Kelantan, while last year’s runners-up will face Police.

Champions in 2021, Kuala Lumpur will be facing Penang, while Negri Sembilan will face tricky opponents Kelantan United.

Pahang will take on a second-placed from M3, while Terengganu will face the first-placed team from M3.
