Thai striker Adisak signs for Terengganu

PETALING JAYA: Terengganu showed they are serious in mounting a strong challenge for their AFC Cup debut mission after signing Thai national striker Adisak Kraisorn.

Kraison, who played for Muangthong United in the Thailand Premier League, signed a two-year contract.

Adisak will fill up the foreign player quota left by Manuel Ott, who is from the Philippines.

Adisak decided to migrate from the Thai Premier League to get a new challenge and sees the Malaysian Super League as one of the competitive leagues in South-East Asia.

Adisak will wear The No. 9 jersey.

The Thai, who stands at 1.83m (six feet), will certainly provide more variety in the attacking front.

He is currently with the national team in the ongoing AFF Mitsubishi Cup competition.

He was a member of the Thai team that won the tournament in 2014 and 2020.

Terengganu chief executive officer Ab Rasid Jusoh said the selection of the 31-year-old player was based on his reputation and strong presence in the forward position.

“We believe he will be able to provide more variety in Terengganu’s attacking machinery which was previously filled by Kpah Sherman and Kipre Tchetche.

“With Thailand, Adisak won the AFF Cup in 2013 and 2020. In 2018, he won the top scorer title in the same tournament.

“He is currently playing with the Thai team for the AFF Mitsubishi Cup 2022,” he added.
