Nik Akif: Don’t repeat Manila nightmare at Hanoi

Wise words: Nik Akif Syahiran Nik Mat, who is in Brad Maloney’s team to Hanoi, has warned teammates not to repeat the mistakes made at the last edition in Manila.

HANOI: The national Under-23 football team intend to use the failure from the previous edition as a lesson as they go in search of glory in the 31st edition of the SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam, from May 12-23.

Midfielder Nik Akif Syahiran Nik Mat, who was a member of the national team who flopped at the 2019 edition in the Philippines, said Malaysia must not take any of their rivals for granted if they do not want a repeat of the Manila nightmare.
