NILAI: National Under-23 striker Hadi Fayyadh Abdul Razak, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, is set to return to action with his Azul Claro Numazu club in the Japan League 3 in December.
Hadi Fayyad picked up the injury on his right leg during a training session in March.
Yakult (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd managing director Hiroshi Hamada, who is also the caretaker of the 21-year-old, said the player’s recovery and rehabilitation process had gone smoothly and that Hadi Fayyadh is already training with the team.
“He will return to action in early December as the J3 League is until mid-December,” said Hamada.
“The latest development that I received (is that) he has been stepping up his fitness regime and returned to contact training with the team.
“The team’s physical coach and doctor have also prepared his rehabilitation programme.
“They said Hadi Fayyadh can rejoin the team before the season ends.”
He said this after the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a programme between Yakult (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and the Malaysia Deaf Sports Association at the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia Sports Centre here yesterday.
Under the MoU, Yakult will continue to sponsor RM60,000 to the association until October next year.
The sponsorship comprise of RM50,000 in cash and Yakult probiotic drinks and RM10,000 worth of sports attire.
During the ceremony, former Japan national player Masashi Motoyama who currently plays for Kelantan United, also donated RM10,000 to the association. — Bernama
