The Women’s Football Development Plan 2020-2030 which was supposed to be launched this year has also been postponed to 2021.
FAM women’s football committee chairperson Datuk Suraya Yaacob said other women’s football activities for this year and 2021 will continue.
FAM will continue conducting off field women’s football activities this year which includes organising women’s D Licence coaching certificate course at the Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya from Oct 5-9 and the NSC-FAM women’s C Licence coaching certificate course at the Mokhtar Dahari Academy (AMD) in Gambang from Oct 5-25.
“I understand that the players and women football activists are disappointed with the postponement of the PTSR. I had hopes of women football activities resuming after the long delay but it will not be possible, ” said Suraya.
“I am optimistic that women’s football in the country will be vibrant again next year, thanks to FIFA’s additional funding for women’s football and FAM’s thorough plans for 2021.”
