Urgent need for points

Desperation: Zainal’s team dropped to 11th in the standings after being docked three points by FAM.

PETALING JAYA: Melaka coach Zainal Abidin Hassan has seen many things in Malaysian football but with just seven matches in one round to go when the Super League resumes, he is desperately seeking answers for his team.

The Mousedeer are desperate for points as they were docked three points by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in March after their failure to settle their players’ salary arrears before the stipulated deadline. The docking saw them slide from third to 11th in the 12-team standings with just three points.
