KUCHING: Two Sarawak football players and a suspected "bookie", who were remanded in a match-fixing probe last week, have been released on bail.
Magistrate Sandy Yvette Freddy granted the order on Wednesday after hearing an application by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's prosecuting officer Dzulkarnain Rousan Hasbi for the trio to be released pending further investigation.
The players, aged 28 and 30, and the 34-year-old "bookie" were remanded for six days on Feb 15.
The trio were represented by lawyers Ahmad Dzulfadli Abang Hamdan, Saifunnizam Sam and Irawan Sudarsono.
They were detained by the MACC between 7.15pm and 7.55pm on Feb 14 in a match-fixing probe following the state football team's defeat to Felcra FC on Feb 10.
