(Reuters) - Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers expressed sympathy on Friday for his former Rangers counterpart Pedro Caixinha and said he was confident the Portuguese would bounce back quickly.

Caixinha, appointed by the Scottish Premiership side in March, was sacked on Thursday a day after a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock left Rangers trailing their arch-rivals by eight points.
