PETALING JAYA: Teenager Muhd Hadi Fayyadh Abdul Razak (pic) has been rewarded for his goal-scoring prowess.
The 17-year-old Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) II striker was promoted yesterday to Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) after scoring three goals in the Premier League.
Hadi did well to score a brace in JDT II’s 4-2 loss to Pahang in the FA Cup second round on Feb 14. He was also on target in the 1-0 Premier League win over Sabah on Feb 17.
“I would like to thank the Tunku Mahkota of Johor (Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim) and the coaches for giving me the chance to join the first team. I’ll work hard to get opportunities to be in the starting line-up and help the team win titles.
“I’m one of the youngest in the team. Now I hope to further improve my game with the help of my senior team-mates,” said Hadi.
He is the second player from the feeder squad to earn promotion. Argentine striker Gabriel Guerra was called up to replace compatriot Jeronimo Barrales two weeks ago.
