Sime Darby rue bad luck against Kelantan

PETALING JAYA: Basement side Sime Darby FC must be cursing their luck after coming so close to picking up their first win in seven months in the Super League.

The club side were leading 2-1 against Kelantan when Brazilian Gilmar Filho struck – with 12 minutes to go – for a 2-2 draw at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium in Kota Baru.

Kelantan had scored first, through centreback Amiridzwan Taj Tajuddin in the sixth minute before Nemanja Vidakovic equalised for Sime Darby in the 24th minute.

Sime Darby then stunned the Red Warriors just five minutes into the second half when Brazilian Reinaldo Da Costa hit a shot past Kelantan goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat.

But Filho spoiled the day for Sime Darby, who look doomed for relegation with just five points from 15 matches.
