PETALING JAYA: Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) rider Mohd Nur Aiman ​​Rosli showed he was in a class of his own after defending his elite men’s individual time trial title for the seventh consecutive time at the National Road Championship in Rembau, Negri Sembilan.

Aiman, who has held the title since 2020, clocked 37:35.642s to emerge champion, leaving his teammate Kee Zhe Yie in second place with a time of 38:52.796s.

Armed Forces Cycling Team rider Mohd Yusri Shaari completed the podium after recording a time of 39:00.168.

“I’m the individual time trial champion and national champion for the seventh time. Thank you to TSG for trusting me ​​to represent the team in this event,” he said, adding that the win is also a boost to his upcoming campaign in the Le Tour de Langkawi end of this month.

Aiman ​​is now motivated to chase a double when he competes in the road race event tomorrow.

“Hopefully, I will be in good shape on that day.”

Armed Forces Cycling Team rider Intan Suraya Tokiman won the women’s individual time trial event in 44:01.012s.

Selangor national team rider Yeong Zhen Yi took second place with a time of 44:54.115s while Johor’s representative Khairunnisa Aleeya Saifulnizam placed third with a time of 45:16.328s.
