BANGKOK: The Malaysian cricket team continued their fine form by bagging their second gold in the Thailand SEA Games at the Asian Institute of Technology Ground in Bangkok.
They defeated Indonesia by seven wickets in the final T10 (10-overs format) round robin game to top their group with maximum points.
After four games, Malaysia were top of the table with eight points from four T10 matches.
Opening batsman Haziq Aiman Mohd Hafiz was the toast against Indonesian with 39 runs from 21 balls.
Virandeep Singh, who is usually good with the bat, showed his bowling prowess by clinching three wickets for just four runs.
Earlier, the team led by captain Syed Aziz Syed Mubarak took gold in the T20 event.
