(Reuters) -England and India will play for a new test series trophy named after cricket greats James Anderson and Sachin Tendulkar, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said on Thursday.

The Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy will be awarded in all future test series between the two sides, replacing the Pataudi Trophy in England and the Anthony De Mello Trophy in India. The next five-test series begins at Headingley on Friday.
