Ex-national cricketer Harinder makes big leap into new field

PETALING JAYA: From being a cricket wicket keeper to a hopeful long jumper, Harinder Sekhon is hoping that the switch will land him another opportunity to represent the nation in a new field.

The former national cricketer, who played for Malaysia from 2016 to 2021, said he had turned to athletics from cricket in 2023 after a meeting with national long and triple jump coach Mohd Firdaus Salim.
